For those that want to know what error code RP002 in pingit means:
You have already tried and failed to set up pingit. Ring the 0333 200 1012 03332001012 number and they will cancel your previous attempt while you are on the phone to them.
Just a heads up: if you then get error a0009 your phone is rooted, ask them to cancel the new attempt before you hang up and unroot your phone.
I tried to install pingit on my HTC wildfire s. First time I got an A0009 error. I tested the phone to see if it had been rooted, it had not. There was no reason why it should have been, I bought the phone new, sim-free from Amazon. I reset it to factory settings and this time got an RP002 error, after reinstalling pingit and reinputting all my data.
I rang Barclays, they told me to reinstall pingit and they would do something at their end and I would be able to use the app, instead I got the RP002 error again.
I rang Barclays again, the lady waited online while I reinstalled and reinput my data. This time I got an A0009, saying the phone was rooted.
At that point she told me I had to speak to the manufacturer.
Thanks for your info but the Barclays pingit application is misleading and unhelpful, and their support staff don’t seem capable of anything.

I’ve got RP002 when trying to install PingIt on my new phone; unfortunately my number has also changed so Barclays say I have to go into a branch with ID to prove who I am before they’ll reset my account so I can re-register on the new phone. It was easier to uninstall the app.
